Hello all Descanteers, readers, friends and well-wishers! Just letting you all know about an event affiliated with NOW HEAR THIS!, which is a youth literacy outreach program affiliated with DESCANT. It promises to be a good time. A good time indeed.

HEAR/HEAR is having another reading series (lucky number 13!) on August 17 at The Supermarket (268 Augusta Ave). The show starts at 6:30pm but feel free to show up early to get good seats and a bite to eat!

We'll be holding a raffle which will include books and NOW HEAR THIS! exclusive t-shirts. Admission is free - and so is entering the raffle!

At this edition of HEAR/HEAR, we'll be celebrating our WRITE ON! initiative. WRITE ON! is a creative writing program to help youth engage in various forms of literature in and around their community.

So come on down and enjoy spectacular performances by the WRITE ON! writers including: Nic Labriola, J Wyze and Motion plus musical guest James from the Songs.
