Date: March 13th 2010
Hello NOW HEAR THIS! Friends & Family,
Here at the office we’ve been busily preparing for our biggest event of the year and we hope that you can come out in support. The Barracuda, our newest anthology of student writing, is launching with a blow-out party on Wednesday, March 31. This event celebrates the creativity and hard work of all the students in the S.W.A.T. program, but especially those published in The Barracuda.
The anthology itself boasts the best student writing from 2009’s series of S.W.A.T. creative residencies—short stories, poems, dialogues and personal essays—and features creative reflections describing their time as S.W.A.T. Writers-in-Residence from Toronto writer-extraordinaires Andrew Daley, Desi Di Nardo, Larry Frolick, Rebecca Rosenblum, Jenny Sampirisi, Julia Tausch and Aaron Tucker. It's also filled to the brim with gorgeous, eye-popping illustrations by Toronto artist Marc Ngui.
