Dear friends of NOW HEAR THIS!,

Many thanks to everyone that made HEAR/HEAR Number 7 an outstanding success ... We're gearing up to do it all again and we hope you'll join us for Number 8

On Wednesday, August 11,  Writers-in-Residence Devon Code, Colin Frizzell and NHT! alumnus Paul Vermeersch will take the stage for an evening of readings and late summer celebration at the Free Times Cafe. We're delighted to have them — and we'd be delighted to share the evening (and their many talents) with you.

As you know, NOW HEAR THIS! is an arts-based literacy organization established by the Descant Arts and Letters Foundation. NHT! is devoted to connecting professional writers with schools and community groups across Toronto — and to developing the literacy and creative writing skills of our participants. The HEAR/HEAR Reading Series is our way of saying thank you to the amazing writers that help NHT! achieve our goals. It's a chance for them to connect with their community and share their talents beyond the classroom.

We're pleased to promote the voices of our writers, just like they promote the voices of the students and community participants they work with. We hope to see you there!

For more information, check out the NHT! site or contact Hilary Fair, hilary@nowhearthis.ca
